Dahlias Bloom by Theresa Fiacchi

My name is Theresa Fiacchi.  I live in Upstate New York along the scenic Mohawk Valley.  I have been growing dahlias since 2017 here in my backyard. I consider myself a micro flower farmer. I grow in an urban backyard where my entire property—including house, garage, sheds, and gardens—sits on just 0.29 acres. Within that space, I grow as much as I can.


I focus mainly on dahlias, along with a handful of supporting crops: fillers, hydrangeas, spring tulips, and ranunculus. I grow heirloom tomatoes and sweet pea flowers. But My primary harvest is dahlia tubers and well-rooted cuttings which form the heart of my growing season. I also save my dahlia seeds, and hand pollinated seed pods for my Hybridizing program.  


Along with dahlias, I am also a full service florist as Mohawk Valley Flowers and I also am a professional photographer.  My main passion in life is growing these beautiful flowers.  


I adhere to the strictest of sanitation standards and i cull and dispose of any dahlia which does not meet my health guidelines.  Here is a list of our policies: 

  • Listing is for 1 tuber.
  • All tubers are shipped starting 2nd week in April. 
  • If there is stock loss, we will refund your order. We do not send substitutions.
  • Once you place an order, we are unable to change that order. If you want additional tubers, you will need to submit a new order.(please send me an email for combining shipping).
  • We are only able to ship within the USA
  • We guarantee a viable tuber with an intact eye, unbroken neck and sound body that is true to variety ordered. Please examine your order immediately on arrival and contact us within 10 days—with clear photos—if you have a problem. Once the 10 days has elapsed the buyer accepts full responsibility for the tuber.
  • We only ship tubers with prominent sprouting eyes.  
  • We are not responsible for tubers that are being forced for cuttings. 
  • We are not responsible for tuber starts. Tubers must be planted in garden beds.
  • We are not responsible for weather events once the tuber is in your possession.
